Re: 2009 Proposal: Revert Classification System

I like the points system for the reason that a wide variety of cars compete against one another in the same class. The letter system was fine, but there were SO many classes. I'd like to see some tweaks to the points system that take into consideration current car weight as compared to stock. Add po...

Thanks for the hard work.

Re: Autocross Schedule Change

I don't know what to say

I have organized a private a/x school at Sears that day because the GGR date on the 19th had been cancelled.

Several GGR regualars and instructors are enrolled...

What happened?

I'll try to remember to bring garbage bags/can for everyone to use next time.
I'll haul the trash away.

Thanks for getting the ones with sanitizer.

I felt better about shaking hands with the other drivers. 8)

Re: Do I really need to heel and toe?

Heel/toe is essential for smoothness. Dumping the clutch can cause the rear wheels to lock up and put you into a spin. I don't expect you to watch the whole video, but listen to the RPM's come up before the downshift into 3rd into T2. Smoooooth. It's quick and happens all at once just before turn-in...

A/X venues?

Anybody ever investigate the use of The Cow Palace parking lots.
They have three main lots.

The upper lot is huge and so is the lower one closest to the rear gate.

I know they use the facilty *every* weekend from June-Sept.

What about early spring or late fall?

Portable toilets at events.

They have been well maintained, but we really do need a hand washing station like at Marina.

I get a little grossed out shaking everyone's hand during the day.

I wanted to comment on the sweeper at the "repaved" surface at Monster.

Given the amount of debris we all saw, I think sweeping a relatively clean surface like Alameda prior to the day's runs would really impress the drivers and the word would spread about the quality of the AX series.
