To meet PCA-GGR requirements you have to run with the top closed.
Stock roll over protection is all that is needed.

Re: Minimum Sound at Alameda Naval Base

Even Thunderhill and Sears have a sound limit of 103db

120db would make your ears bleed if you were near the track!

A certain gt3 cup car ran straight exhaust with cookie cutter megaphones and recorded over 110 at TH and Sears...didn't get many laps either time

Re: Newbie questions re: AXing and track days

As a long time AX and nationally certified DE instructor I would suggest many AXs to learn your car and it's characteristics before venturing to the track. Spinning at 30-40 mph with nothing to hit but orange traffic cones is much different than spinning at 75+ mph at turn 6 at Laguna with very larg...

Re: 944S2 or 968 (daily driver and autocross)?

968 with M030 suspension would be very nice.
The 968 was the last and best of the 924/944 evolution.

Re: Proposal: defining Porsche + fender/tire width

How do non Porsche transmission and engine swaps get classified in our current points system? SCCA has classes for those types of modifications, we do not currently. What SCCA allows does not have any weight on what GGR does or does not do.. Don't take these proposals personally...there are other ca...

Re: Proposal AX

But each event is supposed to break even, right? Can any individual event afford to eliminate $500+ per event? For what, maybe one more run? I enjoy seeing some of the other cars We even run nonPorsches in the TT series without issue Just make the non Porsche non members do their work assignment fir...

Re: Rules proposals for 2013 season...

The best response to your question that I have found is, that they really don't want changes or enhancements currently.. I guess they are either afraid of change, or don't understand the current rules and PAX enough to know whether the suggested changes are relavant or not. I had submitted a couple ...
