Re: best brake pads?

Hawk HPS+ would work great for AX and street driving. It'll perform better than our OEM pads.

Fun fast course. If the weather was dry, the times(speed) would be even faster.

Re: New to autocross

Take advantage an have a instructor ride with you and ride along with an instructor also.

If your car is in sound condition e.g. tires, brakes, mechanical...just go out and have fun.

Re: ax 7 marina vid

It was a fun event...it definitely punished those that overdrove the course.

In hindsight, I should have drove a few sections more aggressively...oh well.

Re: Modification Point Clarification

Please don't take it as me complaining about my mod points. I was only trying to understand how a GT3 can not get hit with MOD points for an stock adjustable coilover suspension, adjustable ARBs, adjustable control arms, adjustable strut top. Yes, the 2009 was favorable for my modded 996 vs a stock ...

Re: Modification Point Clarification

Thanks Larry and Dan.

Our current points system tacks on 30 pt for an LSD whether it is 'stock' or aftermarket on a Porsche. Why wouldn't we do the same for a adjustable coilover suspension 'stock' or aftermarket?

The same 6GT3 from the same model year will not incur any of the modification points. If a LSD equipped car from th...

Nice run...what kind of power are you pushing on your M3. It doesn't sound stock.

Modification Point Clarification

Hi, I was just wondering how 6GT3 and 996 can be in the same AX class when only the 996 get hit with non'stock' modification points. e.g. GT3 (none of these 'stock' parts count as modfication points). -Stock GT3 coilovers with adjustable perch. 0 pts. -Stock spherical strut top (allows for >-1.8 neg...

Super fun fast course yesterday, letting the rear end 'hang out' in certain sections. Loved the 10 runs we all got.

Great job guys in putting this together and having he event run super smooth.
