Re: Boxster with "Spyder" roots...

I like it, Ken. I bet that's good for at least 5 hp; will it bump you to another class?

Re: 2010 rules proposals

I don't see any 997 GT2s classed in TT6. There is a 996 turbo that has significantly) narrower front wheels and a stock suspension compared to a C4S with wider front wheels and a modified suspension. Seems possible that he might have gotten the front wheel size wrong (8" vs. 10"). Assuming it is cor...

Re: Online Reg: GGR 2010 AX#1 – March 20, 2010

Joe, I think it would help to send out an email blast promoting AX#1, and also reminding people that they need to reclassify their cars. I noticed several cars registered for the event that are not classed under the new system but are registered under the old classifications. It would help avoid som...

Re: 2010 rules proposals

Thanks, John. I appreciate the amount of effort this must be taking. Would it be possible to maintain a link to a copy of the existing car class information for a limited period of time to help remind us of our mods as we fill out the new form? I've got a copy of mine, but I suspect people would rea...

Re: 2010 rules proposals

Will previously classed cars automatically be reclassified using the new rules? When will the online classing tool be updated to reflect the new rules?

Re: 2010 rules proposals

John, Thank you very much for the very clear explanation of the rationale behind the base points calculation and the wheel points calculation. It helped a lot (and makes sense). Regarding the tire points, whether the cut off is at 100 or 101 seems pretty arbitrary to me. Given that the stickiness of...

Re: 2010 rules proposals

Some comments on the proposed 2010 rule changes: 1. There appears to be an inconsistency between the weighting factor used for calculating the points for combined front/rear wheel widths differing from 12" in Proposal #2 with the factor used in Proposal #4. The formula used in Prop #2 ((width in inc...

Re: AX5 COURSE MAP DOWNLOADABLE-updated

Sure, the design could have been different, but the bottom line is to drive the car within your limits. Many people said the layout at the finish was causing people to go off. I contend that the drivers knew where then end was, and it was the drivers, not the course that caused cars to over-drive t...
