Re: 2009 Proposal: Revert Classification System

I am fine with the current system. I would like to be a class or two lower. I have been doing a lot of work to the car (hopefully I will be able to run it this year) and it is coming out as a 912 in AX9??? But it is right at the TOP of AX9 at 650. Under the old rules it would be FM - hard for me to ...

Re: Hello webmaster

This BBS is for the competition director host discussions only. We do not have classifieds on this BBS. I recommend posting your classified on the main GGR web site: http://www.pca-ggr.org/node/28 The main web site is undergoing some renovation right now, so you may have to wait for the constructio...

If Alameda or some similar (non-Monster) venue is not in the cards next year - I plan on going to Santa Rosa. I'd also like to see more at Altamont.

Great story! Good callback reference. Have you considered writing professionally?

LOL,

Actually, in a former life, I did. I was a newspaper reporter/photographer under a very demanding editor. It has helped a lot, particularly when I have to make a case for or against something.

There is a reason I DIY most of my own mods. I have a motto: "If I wanted it done wrong, I would have done it myself!" That came about from an experience where a service facility that I had my Targa at for work (that I didn't have the skill or tools for at the time). While the car was there, I aske...

...and he installed it today at my wife's workplace. Looks to be very good work (it was late when she got home - took 5 hours) If only it were a Porsche - instead it is her new Accura RL (which is a very nice and impressive handling car. Highly underrated and not selling well - a true bargain.)

I have this product on every car and it has saved the paint numerous times. These guys have come out to my house to put the film on. It's a tough job and I could not have done it myself. http://clearprotectionproducts.com/index.html Give them a call. They do home installations. Well - let's see if ...

OK - so why did that email say that? I would think that people are a lot more likely to do it if it is on=line. Also - I don't remember if there was a mechanism for reporting the class - I guess there must be.

Results from AX5 email

In the body of the email was this statement: Please download the 2007 Competition Rules for this task. Unfortunately, the on-line classification web site has not been updated with the points changes made at the end of last year. For some reason - this is the first I've heard about this. There is no ...

Yes - well - funny - I encounter Harleys on the road every day that are louder then my 912 with the stinger on  I know that Altamont is in a fight with a local resident who recently built near by - thought that was maybe the reason. Guess it is more like someone who builds under the departure ...

I am sure it is - but it is a schlep... and plans need to be made - I am amazed sometimes as it is not uncommon for me to have "events" scheduled a year out - so I sit down at the beginning of the year and work those into the Porsche/auto-x schedule.

Oh well - I already made a comitment to go to Altamont... with the rest of the season scheduled for Marina - looks like I might be done for the year. I guess I can just get an early start on repainting. Be nice if there was a broadcat email about things like this just as there is for a call for work...
