Re: Where to stay at Thunderhill?

I'm going to bring my family down so I may opt to show up Friday, leave the trailer, and head off to Bakersfield and enjoy a nice place to stay.

Re: Where to stay at Thunderhill?

I'm rooting for the Sharks, but it is looking bad for them.

The hotels on Tracy Blvd look scary. I've stayed there one too many times. I guess I'll bring a 6 pack to help me sleep.

Re: Where to stay at Thunderhill?

Carl, Are you going to the May event? My car is getting worked on, replace the ignition coil, ignition box, spark plug wires, put in an ATL fuel cell and new fuel lines and pump, and routine carburetor cleaning. I'm changing my SPG over to a Sparco HANS seat and having a custom insert made by Tony a...

Re: Where to stay at Thunderhill?

I stay at the Days Inn. The rooms have been remodeled. It's clean. Best of all, it's across from Starbucks.

There's trailer parking behind the hotel.

Thanks for the updates. I had all of my cars done at home. Each one took a remarkably long time to do properly. I'm glad I did not start the project myself. My 996 has had its paint saved many times over by the protective film.

I have this product on every car and it has saved the paint numerous times. These guys have come out to my house to put the film on. It's a tough job and I could not have done it myself.

Give them a call. They do home installations.

BW is not an easy track to get good pictures. He gets some interesting angles. You'll need to touch them up to your liking. I met the photographer in the gift shop and I have purchased a CD from him at a previous event. I've had no bad interactions with him.

NCRC has in the past run a much smaller time trial over the lunch hour at Laguna Seca. I don't know if this is possible given the many constraints imposed by this schedule, but I put it out there. I do not want to see timed runs go away. I enjoy the friendly competition and frankly I did not join GG...

They are unfortunately much more expensive versus the usual DE. Driving Concepts runs their events as an all day school. Their instructors are typically BMW racers with a wide variety of experience. One of their staff members has LeMans/Datona/Sebring races under his belt. I often throw in one of th...

Potential 4 days at Buttonwillow

Driving Concepts has moved their DE to June 22nd. This means that those of us that are insane can get 4 days at Buttonwillow. I have no affiliation with DC. I have participated in several of their DE events and their racing school. They offer a full day of one on one instruction by experienced racer...
