Congratulations..... Steve Lau

For those few who are still uninformed, Steve had the top time of day for the Parade Autocross. Close on his heals was Monty Pack. They have paired up on many occassions for impressive performances all over California and the west and at some of the SCCAs nationals. We're very lucky to have the chan...

GGR 2012 Autocross School...

... a note of thanks to all who contributed the time and energy to create a fun event... John, Howard, the support group and PorBoys sponsorship. Once again, the students (and instructors) had lots of smiles as they shared the good experience. The weather couldn't have been better. San Francisco was...

Rules proposals for 2013 season...

Is this the place to start? Who are the people who need to see rules change suggestions and by what dates? I'm not aware of any solicitations from the rules committee yet - or does it work that way?

thanks,

Going to take another whack at it....

.... (Pacific Power Motorsports) put together a '73 911 for me and I will try competing again. The back has "held up" for almost a year. I've put a few miles on the "new to me" car with rebuilt engine and trans and will give AX11 a go. So far, it seems a little more tossable than the '89, but power ...

Loop hole in points system?...

If someone (?) starts with a longnose '73 911 and upgrades to a later motor, those extra points are assessed based on the differences in the size of engine, right? i.e. 1973 at 2.4 ltr and replacement at 3.0 ltr = 125 pt hit. Here's the rub as I see it: a '73T is 180 base points a '73E is 240 base p...

Re: Tim Fleming

For those unable to attend, it was a wonderful tribute to a truly good man. The santuary was packed with friends all down the aisles and sitting in back in the entry/narthex area - several unable to see the service.... I'll estimate 450 people (on a Friday afternoon). The entire PCA management team ...

Re: New to autocross

You wouldn't be Micheal J Fox would you? If you're a PCA member, look at the latest Panorama or Excellence magazine for the ads and you can get acquainted with models quickly by visiting websites. But, the local motorcycle shops may be a good place to try out helmets for sizing. (MA designation I th...

Still finding Candlestick crap....

...from 2007 event. I was cleaning up the cone marks all over the rocker panels today and happened to notice a gaggle of black, tarry stones wedged between the bottom rear of the front fenders and the rocker panels. Sheeeeez - I'll never stop finding this junk. ... should be faster now, no? see ya'l...

Boxster with "Spyder" roots...

... just for grins (with an extra deck lid), I had fun 'converting' the car to the Spyder look... for the summer, but it would be very easy to create a metal drain pan and weatherize it.

Re: Calendar for 2011 rule changes

Respond here?.... I would like to propose that the wording for section 4.3A be amended and clarified. Some people interpret the section to mean that 2 driver cars in the same run group are allowed. I would like the rule changed (if that is how most currently see it) to clearly state that with 2 driv...

Re: June AX Photos And Event Thoughts

When we were setting up, that 'pothole' was just a bare (~16") patch with no pavement on it - just dirt at about the same level as the surrounding asphalt.... so, we didn't 'really' tear up the surface. We made a bald spot get hollowed out. It should have been re-arrainged, but it wasn't.

Re: AX #1 Results posted

Yup - and then nope. Not a clue where run 1 and 3 came from... started at 62 and was chipping away at it. I was kind of hoping they'd missed the cone on my fourth run. :D but, they had to get that one right.

Re: AX #1 Results posted

Dave...

.... doesn't the time with noted () include the cone count? Mine did. The AM times did have some bogus number, but I believe they mentioned the PMs were okay?

Nice job by the way.
