GGR Autocross School... very fun day!

... just wanted to post on the forum what a nice job the organizational crew did on this. I have no doubts it took a good deal of time to organize, provide logistics, co-ordinate with participants and solve problems along the way. Thanks goes to many people who put in the effort to insure everyone h...

Paul, We chatted briefly at AX#2 - but missed you. Matt and Carl would like to remain low-key. We're all hoping that the things that got the other group into hot water will not affect the good relationship GGR has maintained with Alameda.... we've been good citizens and value our relationship with A...

Alameda #2 carnage.... errr conage...

I can't remember as many cone smacks. Probably ranks up there with a few courses that were full of DNFs. Even though I was in early course set-up, I ended up filling in for a dissappeared registrant. The whole work crew was extremely busy re-setting cones. I believe the course, while creative, was p...

Re: Alameda.. cont'd

Let's see if there's an opportunity at Saturday's AX to understand if Matt wants to proceed. It will really depend on his: 1)knowledge of the situation, 2)desire to work as a team, 3)have enough time to get together... etc.

see you all Saturday.

Good. Can we start a list of those who would like to participate in a 'round table' of constructive conversation and then link us together? List starting 4/08/09: Ending ?? - allowing enough time to organize and actually discuss scenarios? Matt, are you willing to be moderator? Ken Jones Matt Switze...

Re: Alameda.. cont'd

Matt,

You mentioned on the other forum about potential for attending a council meeting with AX on the agenda. Why don't we create an 'offline' network of enthusiasts with a mailing list or something to discuss and converse?

thanks,

Re: What points for a car without a top...

No Dan.... those are my knees and hips. But that reminds me of a "MASH" episode when an excited Frank Burns responds to Hawkeye with.... "If I had half a mind, I'd....." and Hawkeye quickly interupts him exclaiming, "That's your problem Frank, you have half a mind!" .... I don't know why I work over...

What points for a car without a top...

What if.... A Boxster (or other cabriolet) decides to remove the convertible top and run around town with the detachable hardtop.... then, gets to an autocross and decides to remove the hardtop too? All I can decipher from the points is in the "Glass" section for removal of glazing... 20pts - becaus...
