we had a long course on Sunday that proved to be complicated for some drivers with a lot of DNF in the morning run groups. most folks figured it out and times dropped significantly in the afternoon. the course seemed to favor the Cayman cars with the top 6 street tire times going to the mid engine coupe, Eric was driving Shannon's Cayman. my car seemed to be in the power band for most of the course and the stiff suspension really helped through the slaloms. it's too bad that Teddy was at Laguna Seca but he did upload some video with a great time there.
my fastest time of 59.378

backed it up on my final run with a 59.443

Nice driving out there Derek!
I struggled with the course this month. The big turnaround with the hump in the center of the road proved to be a challenge for me. I also didn't realize I should go wider on the dog leg until late in the day.
Here is my fastest run: https://youtu.be/zE3NDxUriHY
Here is Eric's fastest runs: https://youtu.be/IwNr6GMHTVk
I think the two of us will continue to share the Cayman when possible for the rest for the season. We've been using the datalogger to compare driving styles and see how the both us approach the courses; a one side exercise as I'm always behind!

Here's another, although much slower and non-Cayman, video from this last weekend:

Generally one of the downsides of Alameda has been that it’s difficult to design a course with complex corner sequences on such a narrow footprint. Sad I missed this one, it looks to have been more interesting. Good to see the continued Cayman domination, thoughsuperhighperf wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:16 amwe had a long course on Sunday that proved to be complicated for some drivers with a lot of DNF in the morning run groups. most folks figured it out and times dropped significantly in the afternoon. the course seemed to favor the Cayman cars with the top 6 street tire times going to the mid engine coupe, Eric was driving Shannon's Cayman. my car seemed to be in the power band for most of the course and the stiff suspension really helped through the slaloms. it's too bad that Teddy was at Laguna Seca but he did upload some video with a great time there.

Still working on trusting my car to carry speed through some of the faster corners on track...
