GGR PCA Club Race/Laguna Seca/Apr 27-28-29

Post by Andrew Forrest » Mon Feb 20, 2012 3:57 pm

GGR's board of directors has approved the participation of GGR in the San Francisco Region SCCA weekend of April 27, 28 and 29 at Laguna Seca (was there ever any doubt?). This means GGR will purchase one run session from the SCCA and conduct a PCA Club Race within the SCCA's weekend event!

Registration for this event will open precisely at 7 PM PDT at http://register.pca.org/. We anticipate this will be a popular event so don't delay in registering!

Billed the "Battle by the Bay" this is your chance to enjoy this world class circuit under their relaxed 103 db sound restriction.

As we will be guests of the San Francisco SCCA space will be limited. There will be 1 PCA Club Racing Run Group - Maximum 50 cars – run under PCA Club Racing Rules and Classes.

Schedule:
- Friday - one practice session
- Saturday - one qualifying session and 1 Sprint Race
- Sunday - one qualifying session and 1 Sprint Race

As the the policy with all PCA Club Races the registration time stamped made by computer on the Clubregistration.net web site will be used to fill the Run Group on a first registered first assigned basis using tenths and even hundredths of a second to determine the actual order of registration, fill the 55 slots and, if necessary, establish a Wait List.

Registrations that are blank, missing car or class or car number selection will be considered incomplete and will NOT be honored.

No Rookie License Candidates will be accepted (see Note below).

Provisional License Candidates will be accepted but the license application process must be completed prior to the event weekend.

Note: there are 2 opportunities for Rookie License Candidates to complete the PCA Club Racing School and qualify for a PCA Club Racing License --- at the Thunderhill Raceway Club Race on March 23-25, 2012 or the Auto Club Speedway Club Race on April 20-22, 2012. Thunderhill and Auto Club Rookie License Candidates MAY register for this event prior to the Thunderhill or Auto Club Races. However, those registrations will not be approved until after the completion of the PCA Club Racing License at the Thunderhill or Auto Club Races.

Registration is open on ClubRegistration.net for the Thunderhill Raceway Club Race and the Auto Club Speedway Club Race
