Modification points changed for 2009?

Post by Springgeyser » Tue Feb 03, 2009 11:38 am

Modification points changed for 2009 or errors on the website?

I was updating my car profile and the points don''t add up. e.g. wheel spacer was 10 pt but now it shows 5 pts.

I was classified at 745-750 now it is 700??? Am I missing something?

may be a glitch in the system...spacer points were not changed.
I believe the wheel width for C4S was updated to be 11"

but that should have been it?

you must have been looking at your total for TT not for AX....for TT wheel spacers are 5 points.

Looks like the only significant change I could see was the points for tires.

Over 100 no points.

100 and under Dot Race tires 100 points

full race tires / slicks non DOT 150.

Looks like tires like the Dunlop Z1 no longer get dinged 25 points.

This is not reflected in my car's points yet.

Is there any other significant changes?

Thank you. :D

With the written 09 rules also looks like 25 points for every inch of added rim width. Used to be 10. Wow.

do not pay any attention to what is currently on the GGR website...for 2009 rules. It is incorrect. That is nothing more than 2007 rules recylced. The actual 2009 rules are not posted as of yet...

The webmaster and the new Comp. Director are having problems with the PDF writer.

The webmaster does not have a PDF writer.

There are plenty of free PDF writers. This should not be a problem.

Ken, I'm not even close to your times. The 'rusty' nut behind the wheel is consistently being fine tuned. I just use your time to form a baseline where I should be running...behind you. I see that your classification is now AX7 also, looking forward to it. :D

TY is a whole new ballgame for me car-wise. Expecting with a new aggressive suspension setup, lower COG, and a bit stickier tires than the R888s (BFG R1) my times should be a 'tad' lower.
