Yes, I'm Nuts - VW Bug Track Car

Does anyone have past experience working with an old VW Bug ('69 - IRS rear end) for track or autocross duty? Specifically, what has been done in terms of stiffening the chassis (tying roll cage to axle beam or rear torsion tube or both)? Sway-A-Way is a source for larger rear torsion bars, adjustable spring plates, and sway bars.

I have engine, brakes and shocks covered.

Most internet info for VWs is either for off-road or drag racing applications.

Kolstadt knows what I'm up to.

For the love of God, Jim what are you thinking? And with Kolstad too!
Can you spell LeMons?

Yes, what was I thinking? That's anybodys' guess. However, this little wimp Bug finished ahead of four Porsches.
