997 TPMS

Post by Steve Mullen » Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:09 am

The dealer informed me that the cost to replace the tire pressure measurement system (TPMS) sensors are $350 per corner. The 'discount' tire shop I frequent says he would need to buy the parts from the dealer (and then synch to the car using the VIN). Any suggestions on an after market solution for sensors that are compatible with my on board TPMS system? I have to believe the OEM manufacturer (e.g. Bosch, etc.) sells the units in the aftermarket.

My 911 is older and I don't have first-hand knowledge, but a quick Google search shows TMPS Wholesalers have Beru 997 TPMS sensors for $91 each.
