Need to inspect a Certified Pre-owned Carrera S?

Post by Onrails » Fri Dec 17, 2010 11:21 am

I am seriously looking to purchase a Certified Pre-Owned Carrera S and get involved with the club and their race activities. I understand that the Certified cars go through a thorough inspection, but I am wondering if I need to get an independent mechanic to check signs of engine wear, i.e., loss of compression in one or more cylinders, etc., where a problem may develop later after the warranty expires. And if so, can anyone recommend a good, but reasonable mechanic in the San Francisco or Peninsula area?

I appreciate your feedback.

Hi Rudy, the board is kind of quiet now.
Did you purchase any car (porsche) yet?

Try German Autoworks in San Carlos. They
could do a compression test for you.
