I'm wondering about a term in this section for sway bar modifications. Part of the rule says:
"The car has sway bars that were original equipment on another Porsche that is not from the model year and series of the car."
Does that mean sway bars that were original equipment from cars within the series can be swapped? Can a base 986 Boxster use OEM sway bars from a 986 Boxster S without adding these points?
Thanks

here is the detailed description of the item
Select this option if the car has any of the following: The car has non-stock sway bars. The car has sway bars that were original equipment on another Porsche that is not from the model year and series of the car. The car has sway bars that are installed in a different position to the stock position per VIN #.
did your car come from the factory with the sway bar that is on it? if not take the 30 pointsThe car has non-stock sway bars.
this seems to describe your question exactly. S-series sway bar on a non S car, take 30 points. The car has sway bars that were original equipment on another Porsche that is not from the model year and series of the car.
move the geometry of a stock sway bar around and take 30 points. The car has sway bars that are installed in a different position to the stock position per VIN #.

Ok. Wording seems odd: take points for original equipment that is NOT from model year and series. That seems to me, no points if it IS from a model year and series.

i agree that the wording on some of the rules is a bit vague. we are using these rules as a "gentlemen's agreement" if you make an upgrade you should take some points for it. you could find out if the parts were available in a sports suspension for your car, take 20 points (#62) and upgrade the front and rear sway bar?
